A diamond's certificate (also called a diamond grading report, diamond dossier, or diamond quality report) is a report created by a gemologist, who has analyzed its dimensions, clarity, cut, color, finish, symmetry, and other characteristics under a microscope.
Reviewing a diamond's certificate before you purchase is your only guarantee of the quality and value of the diamond. At Diamond Cutters, a certificate for every diamond in our collection is available for you to view online.
To give you peace of mind, every loose diamond we offer has been analyzed and graded by one of the three most respected laboratories in the diamond industry: the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) http://www.gia.edu, the American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) http://www.agslab.com, or the European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) http://www.eglusa.com. These laboratories are known for having the most consistent, strict and unbiased systems for grading diamonds. Therefore, diamonds that are accompanied by these grading reports are considered guaranteed, making them the most highly valued in the industry.
